Manifesto · v1

Type is a promise. Colors are the tone of voice.

casse is French for the printer's type case — the drawer of metal letters where "uppercase" and "lowercase" got their names.

Most tools ask you to name a font. That's the wrong first question. The right one is: what is this thing supposed to feel like when someone lands on it? Editorial. Precise. Playful. Loud.

casse filters by vibe first — Brutalist, Editorial, Y2K, Apple-like — and shows you the answers on your own hero, your own pricing page, your own dashboard. No lorem, no abstraction.

We treat independent designers as first-class citizens. Toggle Indie-only and the entire engine — every randomize, every AI suggestion — pulls from typefaces sold directly by their makers. Their work gets seen. Their shop gets the sale.

The playground is free. Fonts are priced by the people who drew them. We take zero cut of the click.
